Description: A manuscript copy of the complete Essercizi in a single, professional hand. 220x305mm. Restored in Potsdam, 2024.
Rastrum: Stave size: 9mm; distance between staves: 12mm; total stave span: 195mm.
Watermarks: A cross with the letters VC below appears on pages 3, 75, 93, and 95 (modern pagination). A smaller variant is present on page 63. A similar watermark (W-Dl-479) is present in works dated c. 1732-1760. Paper likely of North-Italian provenance.
Titles: As in Witvogel, throughout the collection the title ‘Sonata’ followed by Roman numerals is used.
Copyist: A single (professional?) hand.
Comments: Likely a copy of Witvogel based on several variant readings. Dynamic indications appear to be contemporary with the copying activity.
Date: Mid-eighteenth century.
